My favorite characters have always been Skeeter and Trelawny. At least they made a good showing in this book.

You mean what Rita claims she discovered? That Grindelwald waved a white flag and surrendered without any fuss, instead of getting his ass handed to him by Dumbledore in a spectacular duel.

It's a metaphor for peace between the duel of Dumbledore and Grinderwald. (sp) Rita says the latter just gave out to Dumbly.
